Hamilton County Clerk Bill Knowles
announced that his Courthouse office, Room
201, is now equipped to issue certain
state driver licenses. |

|
|
The Clerk’s Office offers the following services:
1) Renewals—If the initial driver license issuance
was after 1/1/2001, the applicant must bring current
license, State renewal form and proof of U.S. citizenship or
lawful permanent residence. All renewals prior to 1/1/2001
must bring license and renewal form but need not bring proof
of citizenship. (Renewals may also be processed online at
www.TennesseeAnytime.org/tndlr.)
2) Duplicates—The applicant must bring two pieces of
U.S. Mail containing name and current Tennessee residence.
(Duplicates may also be processed online at
www.TennesseeAnytime.org/tndlr.)
3) Name Change --- (Last Name Only due to
marriage or divorce)—In addition to bringing two pieces of U.
S. Mail containing their name and their current Tennessee
residence, the applicant must also bring the original legal
document that creates the name change. Copies are never
acceptable.
The Clerk’s office is open Monday
through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. These services are
subject to a $4 fee. Transactions
require cash, Mastercard, Visa or Discover.
